The word ‘Dimore’ in Italian means dwelling but conjures up images of old villas clinging to their aristocratic origins. It lends the name a sense of nostalgia. I think it’s our DNA: wetake a historical approach to a project to give it some roots, and then we inject it with more of a contemporary feel.”

– Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran

Dimoremilano, established in 2019, produces furnishings, textiles, and lighting driven by the creative team of Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci. Moran, a North Carolina-born former graphic designer, and Salci, a former art director at Cappellini who was born in Arezzo in Tuscany, are a perfect fusion of talents. The story of their journey began in the same Milan location where Dimorestudio currently operates and it developed and grew – year after year – thanks to a skillful combination of decoration, objects, modern art, important mid-century pieces, and finally, elements and spaces that they designed and produced themselves.
