LA CHANCE

Paris-based La Chance is the brainchild of Jean-Baptiste Souletie and Louise Breguet. Their partnership is one of constant collaboration, not only with each other but also with the designers they commission work from and the artisans who create it. When they started La Chance in 2012, their goal was to build a furniture company with bold personality, collaborating with the most creative designers and artists, all the while referencing the French tradition for ornamental furniture and the Art Deco Heritage.

La Chance is not only a ‘brand’ – Jean-Baptiste and Louise truly see it as a force that allows them to initiate relationships with like-minded designers, and to produce collections that are the fullest expression of design, creativity and artisanal production. “Our work is to fuel creation and give artists a framework to innovate.” they note.

Fittingly, the La Chance studio, material library, and showroom are located in the former Loebnitz earthenware factory, the first to produce decorative architectural tiles in 1849. The façade of the building is decorated with large enamel panels from the Fine Arts Pavilion at the Universal Exhibition of Paris held in 1878.
