Lichens

Description

Lichens
Designed by Marialaura Irvine

It is a hand-painted paper work born from the collaboration with Marialaura Irvine.
Lichens, is a stylized microscopic vision of plants, a nod to the timeless beauty and resilience of nature as it reclaims human-made structures over time. Each process was carried out by hand, on paper support and applied materials.

Marialaura Rossiello Irvine (born 1972) has been the creative force behind Studio Irvine for over a decade. Having graduated in Architecture in Naples under the guidance of Riccardo Dalisi, Marialaura is inspired by a deep and intrinsic respect for the narrative foundations of architecture. She began her design career in Milan after studying Strategic Design at the Politecnico di Milano. With marketing, communications, and strategy as her main focuses, she gained valuable experience collaborating with leading Italian design firms,   providing a method that views the product as part of the overall strategy. She later began to blend her experience with a quintessentially British approach to design, thanks to meeting her husband, James Irvine, who passed away prematurely in 2013.
